Lake And Pond Management
Lake Management services
There are issues with any pond, lake, or water feature. Algae, floating weeds, and out of control marginal plants are only a few of the problems landowners have to deal with. If you have a farm pond, golf course pond, or a shared lake, we want to help you come up with a plan to proactively treat the issues you’re having.
Lake management isn’t only about spraying algae. We can help you identify the real source of the problem and find short and long-term plans to treat these issues for good.
If you want, we also offer certain supplies in our Pond Supply Store in Omaha, Nebraska. We can help you come up with a plan or give advice on treatment.
Below are all options that can help in lake management. Not all will be helpful for your situation, but these are examples of approaches that can be taken:
Chemical Control - using the appropriate water treatment supplies to safely treat your lake for algae and weed issues.
Proactive Water Treatment - beneficial bacteria, sludge removal supplies, and other options can help reduce nutrient build-up that causes algae and unwanted weed growth for long-term treatment.
Physical and Mechanical Control - the use of manpower and tools to physically remove unwanted plant life from a lake.
Aeration - diffused aerators, surface aerators, and even fountains are all options. These all work differently, however, they all help to improve a lake’s water column and to disturb the surface of the water. This makes algae less likely to accumulate and to have a healthier lake ecosystem.
The solutions for one lake or pond aren’t necessarily the solutions for another. For some, aeration is the best option. For others, the use of beneficial bacteria will help the most. We can help you find the best methods that will work for the lake on your property.
